South London MC Loyle Carner may not have released his debut single yet, but after supporting Kate Tempest and Joey Bada$$ on tour and performing at Glastonbury, he’s set to become a headline act.

Drawing inspiration from the east London Grime scene and his family - his stepfather, who passed away in February 2014 was the inspiration behind critically acclaimed track Cantona, Carner has earned himself praise from mainstream radio, including BBC Radio 1. Although he attended the BRIT School, which has turned out singers including Adele, Amy Winehouse and Leona Lewis, Carner studied theatre and later enrolled in a drama school before dropping out following his stepfather's death. Despite personal tragedies, he spent the past 18 months recording his debut single, working on his album and writing a musical response to a Turner Prize entry by Tris Vonna Michell after being asked by the Tate. With the release of his debut single set for summer 2015, an album in the pipeline and a summer of playing at some of Europe's most prestigious festivals including Benicassim, Loyle Carner is a name that will soon be on everybody's lips.
